I have had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of a wonderful Artist & individual, Sally R. Breen, who has taken the initiative, with colleague Daniel Schoenheimer, to begin an exciting new publication, The Local Art Rag, which will provide the East End and points further west with the FIRST EVER Directory of Artists of ALL kinds, Suppliers, Stores, Galleries, Organizations, et al. hailing from the area! The deadline for July's issue has BEEN EXTENDED!
For Directory listings the deadline is WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18th at 4.00 p.m.
For Ad Placements the deadline is TUESDAY, JUNE 17th.
This is an amazing undertaking and a fantastic opportunity, thus I would strongly encourage you all to GET INVLOVED and/or TELL YOUR FRIENDS & COLLEAGUES!

New to the scene is The Local Art Rag: The East End's first ever Directory for the Arts, Artists and Musicians!

The Local Art Rag is published 6 times per year in a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch format on glossy paper. We will appear in March/April, May/June, July, August, September/October, and a Holiday issue for the end of the year.
With 10,000 copies distributed from Montauk to Riverhead, it is the most cost effective way for artists and musicians to put out the word on their next exhibition, gig, contact information or the address of their website.
Our first issue was distributed for June 2008, and is making its way around! Including ads and listings in the publication and on our website with a link to your site if you have one.

Our aim is to create a hands-on art directory for artists, musicians, stores, galleries, schools, museums and groups. For those artists and/or suppliers who would like to appear in the classified section without placing a full advertisement, a listing is available for $35. per year and includes your name, address, website and phone number. Enhanced listings in both the Directory and on the website are also available, please get in touch for more information.
On the website you will find a page listing the artists that have joined our venture - click on their names to see an example. Once the first issue is on the streets there will be a section listing the places where The Local Art Rag can be found.
